Measure from the floor/base of the fireplace to the top of your existing grate or burner.

Remote control is available on 142mm, 179mm and 218mm burner heights. It is not available on the 107mm height because additional clearance beneath the fire is required for airflow around the remote-control components. Manual control remains available at 107mm.

4. Which fuel do you require?

All models are available for Natural Gas and LPG. Bio Ethanol is available on R3, T2, T3, T4, V2, V3, V4, V5, V7 and V9 only.

Rectangular burners are designed for square or rectangular fireplace openings. If your opening has straight parallel sides, start with this range.

Choosing a replacement inset gas fire

An inset gas fire can be an ideal option when you want to replace an existing fire without unnecessarily changing the complete fireplace. The key is finding a burner shape and size suitable for the existing opening.

Inset gas fires for traditional and Victorian fireplaces

Traditional fireplace openings vary considerably in shape and size. Our range includes rectangular, tapered and Victorian-style burner trays to cover a wide variety of installations.

Natural Gas, LPG and Bio Ethanol inset fires

Every model is available for Natural Gas and LPG. Selected sizes are also available as Bio Ethanol: R3, T2, T3, T4, V2, V3, V4, V5, V7 and V9. Bio Ethanol is a separate fuel option and is not part of the gas remote-control system.

Manual and remote-control gas fires

Manual control is available across the range. Remote control is available with 142mm, 179mm and 218mm burner heights where sufficient clearance is available for the remote-control components.

Gas appliances must be installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.

Can I keep my existing fireplace and replace only the gas fire?

In many cases, yes. The important factor is whether a suitable burner can be matched to the shape and dimensions of your existing fireplace opening. Use our burner finder as a starting point.

Can I use an inset fire in a Victorian fireplace?

Many traditional and Victorian fireplace openings can accommodate an inset burner. Because openings vary in shape and size, accurate measurements are essential.

Do you supply LPG inset gas fires?

Yes. Natural Gas and LPG options are available across the appropriate burner configurations.

Can I have remote control?

Remote control is available on 142mm, 179mm and 218mm burner heights. The 107mm height is manual control only because additional clearance is required for airflow around the remote-control components.

How do I know which burner will fit?
