We don't simply buy replacement ceramic fuel-bed products and put our name on the box. We manufacture them ourselves.
When our original supplier ceased trading, we spent six months developing our own production process and bespoke machinery. What began with a successful test batch of around 25 coals developed into the manufacturing operation that still produces our ceramic fuel-bed products today.

Made for Game of Thrones
When HBO needed thousands of ceramic logs for the final season of Game of Thrones, more than 4,000 were manufactured by The Stove Wizard for use in castle fireplaces and braziers.
These genuine production photographs show some of those logs during manufacture here in Flint, North Wales.
It was a remarkable moment for a family business that had started only a few years earlier selling replacement gas fire coals from a garage.
Since then, The Stove Wizard has continued to supply products for film, television and special-effects requirements. Many later productions are covered by non-disclosure agreements, but our products have continued to find their way behind the scenes on major productions.

Can I replace the coals in my gas fire?
Replacement ceramic coals can be suitable for many gas fires, but they are not universal. Always check your fire manufacturer's instructions before ordering. The replacement coals must be suitable for your appliance and you should check the required type, dimensions, quantity and fuel-bed arrangement.
Are all gas fire coals the same?
No. Gas fire coals vary considerably in size, shape, design and quantity. Random cast, standard, square and other styles are not automatically interchangeable. Compare the dimensions and style of the replacement product with the requirements stated by your fire manufacturer before purchasing.
What size gas fire coals do I need?
Use the dimensions shown on our product pages and compare them with your existing fuel bed and the specifications in your appliance instructions. Do not assume that a coal described as small, medium or large will fit your particular fire, as dimensions vary between products and appliances.
Can I use any ceramic logs in my gas fire?
No. Ceramic log sets differ significantly in dimensions, shape, quantity and intended arrangement. Check your appliance manufacturer's instructions and the dimensions shown on our product page before ordering. Never assume that a replacement log set is suitable simply because it physically fits inside the fire.
Can I replace gas fire pebbles?
Replacement ceramic pebbles are available in different sizes, colours and quantities, but they are not universal. Check that the type, dimensions, quantity and arrangement are suitable for your particular appliance before ordering.
How should gas fire coals, pebbles or logs be arranged?
Always follow the exact fuel-bed arrangement specified by the manufacturer of your gas fire. Positioning is important and arrangements vary between appliances.
Incorrectly positioned coals, pebbles or logs can interfere with the intended flame and combustion pattern and may cause the ceramic pieces to blacken or develop soot deposits.
Do not create your own arrangement, obstruct burner openings or add additional ceramic pieces unless the appliance manufacturer's instructions specifically permit it.
Why are my gas fire coals or logs turning black?
Blackening or soot deposits on ceramic coals, pebbles or logs can indicate that the fuel bed is incorrectly positioned or that the appliance is not burning as intended.
Do not simply rearrange the ceramics at random. Check the manufacturer's specified fuel-bed layout and appliance instructions.
If sooting continues, stop using the appliance and have it checked by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.
Can I replace cracked or damaged ceramic coals?
Replacement may be possible where a suitable replacement is available for your appliance. Check your manufacturer's instructions and compare the required size, style and quantity carefully. If you are unsure which Stove Wizard product is the closest match, contact us before ordering.
How long do ceramic gas fire coals and logs last?
There is no single replacement interval that applies to every appliance. Ceramic fuel-bed pieces can deteriorate, crack or become damaged over time. Follow the inspection and replacement guidance supplied by your appliance manufacturer and replace damaged components when required.
