Can You Replace Ceramic Coals on a Gas Fire?
Worn or broken ceramic coals are often replaced as decorative parts. That does not mean you can arbitrarily change the fuel-bed layout.
Replacement components and their positioning must be appropriate for the appliance and manufacturer requirements. If you are unsure, ask a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer before changing the bed.
