Vermiculite Board vs Traditional Fire Bricks

Traditional fire bricks are typically heavier ceramic liners. Vermiculite board is lighter and is often chosen when a replacement panel needs to be cut to a recorded size.

Neither material is automatically correct for every stove. Suitability depends on the appliance design and the manufacturer’s lining specification.

FAQs

Is vermiculite always a straight swap for clay bricks?

Not always. Confirm the lining type and thickness the stove is designed for.
