This kit combines the parts needed to replace a worn stove door rope with 400ml matt black high-temperature stove paint, allowing you to restore the seal and refresh tired or marked stove surfaces as part of the same maintenance job.

How to fit your stove rope

  1. Remove the old rope.
  2. Remove old adhesive and clean the rope channel.
  3. Dry-fit the new rope before applying adhesive.
  4. Apply Rope Fix into the channel.
  5. Fit the rope without stretching it.
  6. Cut to length and finish the joint with the supplied end tape.
  7. Allow the adhesive to cure according to its instructions before using the stove.

Using the stove paint

  1. Apply to clean, dry metal surfaces.
  2. Use 2–3 light coats. No primer is required.
  3. Touch dry in approximately 10–30 minutes.
  4. Once dry, apply heat gradually and maintain for around 1 hour to fully cure before maximum heat exposure.
  5. The paint helps protect against rust and corrosion. It is not suitable for stove glass or cooking surfaces.
